General Appearance

The Bull Terrier is best known for its egg-shaped head and long, Roman nose. It also has triangular shaped eyes, which are not a common trait in dogs. This breed has an exceptionally strong build. Its neck is long and muscular. Its coat is short and smooth and comes in a variety of colors; brindle and white are common. Care should be taken when choosing all-white Bull Terrier puppies, because they are at increased risk of deafness. This breed stands 20 to 24 inches, and its weight varies but is usually between 45 and 85 pounds.

Temperament

Although the Bull Terrier was bred for sport fighting, it is now an exceptionally friendly, outgoing dog. These dogs are often said to have a sense of humor. They are fun-loving, loyal, and fearless. The breed isn’t built for extremely cold or damp climates. It is also sometimes susceptible to sunburns.
