General Appearance

The Bullmastiff, as the name implies, is the result of crossing bulldogs with mastiffs. The result is an impressive, powerful dog that looks much like a smaller mastiff with a bulldog’s head. This is a muscular, heavy-boned breed with short fur. Its coat is often red, fawn or brindle. The muzzle is dark. The Bullmastiff stands 25 to 27 inches and weighs 110 to 130 pounds.

Temperament

The Bullmastiff is a loyal dog and natural property guard. Although it has a commanding presence, it is generally quiet and relaxed.
