General Appearance

That of a long-haired toy terrier whose hair hangs evenly and straight down each side of the body, and from the base of the skull to the end of the tail. The Biewer is very compact and neat. The tail is carried up. The hair on the body lays down on the sides of the dog, long enough to reach the ground and is absolutely straight (not woolly) shiny like silk and of fine silky texture, without an undercoat. Weight & Height: Up to 8in inches in height and a weight of about 7lb. pounds.

Temperament

The Biewer’s elegant looks make it easy to see that it is part of the Yorkshire terrier family. It is a very loving and loyal breed. Even-tempered and intelligent, the breed can live with other animals and does well with children. The Biewer is robust and healthy and lives 10 to 15 years.

Is the Biewer Puppy right for you?

The Biewer is happy to live anywhere. It is especially well-suited for apartment living because it is so small. However, this terrier breed has plenty of life and is just as happy to run free on a large ranch. The Biewer is easy to live with and care for. However, its coat requires ample grooming and should be brushed daily. It should also be noted that the Biewer is occasionally too bold and doesn’t realize how small it is; care should be taken when around new dogs.
