General Appearance

The Double Doodle is the cross of an American Labradoodle and a Goldendoodle. (If an Australian Labradoodle is crossed with a Goldendoodle, the result is called the North American Retriever.) The size of a Double Doodle is determined by the sizes of the dogs in its background: when Toy or Miniature Poodles are in its pedigree, it will be smaller than if Standard Poodles are there. Coats can be wavy to curly, but the occasional flat coat is possible. It has a shaggy look when in full coat. The Double Doodle tends to be low shedding. Colors range from blond to black, including chocolate and shades of red, and are often patterned (bi-colored or spotted.)

Temperament

Temperament is generally friendly and easy going. There are no known genetic diseases specific to the cross.
