General Appearance
This handsome terrier has a well-built body with a fairly long neck and a characteristic brick-shaped head. Its two layer coat is wiry and harsh; it is black and tan or grizzle and tan. This terrier stands about 15 inches high and weighs 21 pounds.
Temperament
The Welsh Terrier has plenty of terrier attitude, but less so than many terriers. It is intelligent, however it is also quite independent and might seem stubborn at times. The Welsh Terrier is good natured and does very well with other dogs. This breed is healthy and lives about 12 or 13 years.
