General Appearance

A Whoodle is the cross of the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier and the Poodle. It is generally a medium sized dog, 25-45 pounds. It is double coated and the hair is usually quite soft with the undercoat being fairly curly while the outer coat is slightly wavy to big loose curls. It has a shaggy look when in full coat. It is very low shedding. Whoodles come in colors ranging from wheaten (blond) to black and can be patterned (bi-colored or spotted.) Since both parentbreeds are on the allergy friendly list, the pups are less likely to cause an allergic reaction in people with mild to moderate allergies than some other Poodle crosses.

Temperament

The Whoodle is full of life and very people oriented. From an early age, it takes well to training. Whoodles are smart enough to know not everyone is to be trusted and tend to be discriminating about new people. It is not a barky animal but will sound the alarm. Although they are part terrier, Whoodles have little terrier aggressiveness and usually get along well with other animals.
